Packing List

What to bring for your Livnot program:

  • The Basics
    (socks, underwear, t-shirts, shorts, etc.)
  • Work/Hiking Clothes
    You should bring something you don't mind getting dirty/dusty, or maybe even paint on.
  • Everyday Clothes
    Whatever you feel comfortable going to classes in, hanging out in, touring the city, etc.
  • Shabbat Clothes
    For Shabbat, you may want to have dressier clothing items. For men, nice pants and a button down shirt. For women, a skirt covering the knees and a blouse with sleeves.

We recommend that you print out this checklist to make sure that you haven't forgotten anything.

Comfortable hiking boots or walking shoes (in good shape)
Work shoes (closed-toe shoe you won't mind getting dirty)
Water shoes (i.e. Teva sandals)
Hat (to protect against the sun - this is a must)
Backpack for day hiking (that can hold 4 liters of water, food, and clothes)
Sleeping Bag
Warm sweater, sweatshirt or jacket
Sunglasses
Travel alarm clock
Towel
Bathing suit
Sun block
Anti-mosquito spray/roll-on
Camera and extra film
Mini-flashlight
Extra batteries
Toiletries
Credit card/spending money
Journal

Extra items to bring in winter:

Sweatpants
Thermal tops and bottoms
Warm hat, scarf
Fleece or other warm jacket
Raincoat/ anorak/ poncho
