Livnot is the premiere Israel experience geared towards Jews 21-30 with little or no background in Judaism. We're experts in offering soul-searching, physically-invigorating, and emotionally-elevating experiences in Israel. Participants learn, hike, volunteer, live and explore Judaism and themselves over a period of five months.
The Livnot Journey takes you off the beaten track, retracing the steps of your ancestors and back to today, through spectacular hiking, dynamic seminars, inspiring community service work and living and growing together as a community. The open and non-coercive atmosphere encourages questioning and enhances self-exploration and introspection. Additionally, the program includes an 8 week period on a kibbutz learning Hebrew in an ulpan and volunteering on the kibbutz.
“It’s as close to living here as you can get.” -- J.K., San Francisco, CA
This Winter/Spring program is very special as it incorporates many Jewish and Israeli holidays, including Purim, Passover, Holocaust Remembrance Day, Independence Day and Jerusalem Day.
This program also includes Livnot’s famous 3-day Sea-to-Sea hike - starting by the Sea of Galilee and ending at the Mediterranean Sea, an overnight desert experience, some serious community service projects and much, much more.
“The community service aspect creates personal connections to the place and the
people that I couldn’t have made on my own.” -- M.P., Boston, MA
