PRECIOUS STONES PROJECT

Honoring Our Past Chevre, Opening the Door for Tomorrow's Chevre

The Precious Stones project is paving the way for the preservation of the Kahal - a 16th century village which was uncovered over the last five years on Livnot's property, and was declared a National Heritage Site by the Israeli Givernment in October 2011.
What is Livnot Precious Stone?
A Precious Stone offers a way to honor your participation as Livnot past chevre with an inscribed stone in your name, permanently embedded in a 500 year-old wall of Livnot's recently excavated rooms. Reserve your place in Livnot's history for generations to come in the Old City of Tzfat. The Precious Stones room will be on display not only for past chevre and family visiting Tzfat, but to the tens of thousands of visitors who will pass through the "Kahal" every year.

How can I sponsor a Precious Stone?

With a donation of 1,000$ or more per year, spread out over 5 years, your name and program number will be placed in our Precious Stones room. There are three naming opportunities:

You may choose to spread your payments over 5 years with monthly, quraterly, or annual payments, Consider involving other members of your family, foundations and your greater Jewish community in this project.

What will visitors be able to do in the Precious Stones room?

Through our virtual data base, or in-person visits to Tzfat, you can return to view photos of your work while at Livnot, catch up with the chevre on your program (current photos, lifecycle events, professional, etc.). Reminisce about your Livnot experience and the impact it has had on your Jewish path. This room will be a permanent reminder of your contribution to the Livnot family.

Where will these funds be directed?

All funds raised will be used to sustain current and future Livnot programming.
